Japanese calligraphy workshop "SHODO"

Shodo (Japanese Calligraphy) is one of the most beautiful Japanese traditions to express Japanese Beauty. Thus, the library volunteers Mayuko Hijikata (Akita International University student, Japan) and Ieva Mičiulytė (alumni of East Asia region studies, Kaunas) kindly invite you to join the calligraphy workshop and to try out Shodo yourself! During the workshop you will not only expand the Shodo world by learning about Shodo history, but will also be able to learn how to draw Shodo!

The event will take place on October 26th from 6 p.m. at the Kaunas County Public Library (K. Donelaičio St. 8, Education Space, room 201).

Workshop will be held for both Lithuanian and English speakers.

The event is free but requires prior registration.

The event will be photographed and/or filmed, so you may be seen in photos or videos of the event that may be published in various media.
